This stunning menorah is worthy of being the decorative centerpiece of your home not only during Hanukkah, but all year round! It will make a welcome addition to your home for its beauty, its usefulness, and its historical authenticity.

The menorah that inspired the design of this Hanukkah lamp was found near the niche that contained the Torah ark in the Ein Gedi synagogue. Unique in its kind, it shorts branches made of small bronze spheres imitating the “calyxes and petals” of the Temple menorah.

Along with stone and marble menorahs found in ancient synagogues inside and outside of Israel, it indicates that, contrary to the sages’ prohibition against making menorahs resembling the Temple menorah, seven-branched candelabra were used in the synagogue, both for symbolic purposes and as part of the ritual.

This item comes with a certificate of authenticity of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Enclosed is a short description of its historical background in English and Hebrew.
